Archives For April 2011

A very quick gallery update for today, featuring “old” photos of two very beautiful models. One of them is the gorgeous brazilian model, Miss Alessandra Ambrosio; check out some photos of her in a 2009 photoshoot for DT Magazine. And then, go see some photos of Joanna Krupa, an amazing polish model showing her beauty in a photoshoot for Jack Magazine.

That’s it. I have to go, I’m busy watching Mutant Chronicles.

Bonus: more photos of Joanna Krupa

You will go to sleep. You will wake up. It will be as if those hours never existed

This is the story of Lucy, played by the gorgeous Emily Browning. Sleeping Beauty is a story of a student that takes quite an unusual job: she gets drugged, she goes to sleep. During that time, old men will seek experiences that require her absolute submission. Obviously, she has to know what happens when she’s asleep, and I’m guessing that’s what the movie is all about.

The premise doesn’t sound so interesting, but the trailer shows a cold and creepy movie, so I think I’d love to watch it. One of this year’s Cannes Film Festival’s Selections, this movie written and directed by Julia Leigh looks like one of those movies I have to watch.

Bonus: Sleeping Beauty, the site

What I like about Christopher Uminga’s style is that it looks simple and efortless. His characters are cute and creepy at the same time. The first time I saw his superheroes series (featured above), I thought: these look like the zombified kiddie versions of my favorite superheroes. And that was a very good thing.

Anyway, you can see more of this very talented artist at deviantart.

All The Cats Join In is a Disney short from 1946. It’s classic Disney at its best. It features the work of one of my favorite animators, Milt Kahl, and Fred Moore, whose style greatly influenced the Disney look until this day. Freddy Moore was specially known for his drawings of girls.

Check out a pencil test video of Fred Moore’s animation. Also, if you want to know more about this short animation, check out this post at Mayerson on animation, where he identifies the animators in charge of each scene. There’s even more info at The blackwing diaries (and don’t forget to read the comments in those posts, there’s a lot of interesting info there, too).

Gisele in magazines

Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott photographed the beautiful brazilian model Gisele Bundchen for Vogue Turkey’s march 2011 issue. You can see the results here. She also appeared in an editorial in V Magazine called “Gisele Unzipped”, photographed by Hedi Slimane. She gets the chance of showing you all her fantastic form in a series of photos in black and white, which you can also check out at the gallery.

I have nothing else to say to you, so you can go now.

I was watching a movie (Clash of the Titans) but got bored of it. Instead, I opened my Ipad and went to deviantart to look at pretty things. Nine illustrations stood out, and I wanted to share them with you, my one and only reader.

First, The Anthology Project Casewrap, by joy-ang; see the process here.

We continue with three more: feed my heart, a fantastic painting by Lindsay Campbell (I love her style). Then we have Tifa Lockart, a cool fanart piece by ravenskar, it’s trully inspiring. And wetsuit, an anime inspired illustration by elpinoy for ImagineFX issue 54.

See the other five illustrations after the break.

I don’t know what is it about her, but there’s something that makes me think she’s attractive. I first saw Cameron Richardson in Alvin and the Chipmunks, and then in Harper’s Island, and both times I thought she looked really pretty.

It was time I updated my beloved FB gallery with some photos of this model turned actress, so here you have three albums of photos of Cameron Richardson: Cameron Richardson in bikini, Cameron Richardson in bikini again, and Cameron Richardson for GQ…in a bikini.

Bonus: Cameron Richardson is a mermaid

Another day, another gallery update. I just finished uploading 296 photos of this cute Victoria’s Secret Angel from  Australia. Most of the photos of Miranda Kerr are from 2008 and 2009 (pretty old in internet times) back when she was 25 years old, and before she got married to Orlando Bloom and had a son with him.

There are photos of Miranda Kerr for all tastes. Photos of her at the Espy Awards, and from a Calvin Klein party. There’s a bunch of photos of her posing in bikini, and from the Victoria’s Secret Swim Catalogue. Of course, there are photos of her in wearing Victoria’s Secret lingerie.  If that’s not enough Miranda Kerr for you, check out the photos of her at the La Mamounia reopening, or some nice photos of her for Grazia.

Not enough? Yeah, I know, it’s impossible to get tired of Miranda Kerr’s photos. Specially when you see photos of her looking gorgeous in the Dream Angels Bra. You prefer fashion and catwalks? there are some photos of her in that style, too. What about a few photos of her in black and white and less clothing that what you’d imagine. Or some photos of Miranda Kerr looking cute and beautiful for Bloomingdales.

We can’t forget the magazine photoshoots: FHM UK, Jack Magazine, Marie Claire, Ralph Magazine (2008 and 2009)   and Vogue Australia.

That was a bunch of links. I think it would’ve been easier to just post a link to the main gallery of photos of Miranda Kerr, right?

Now, a tip: if you like looking at photos of the beautiful models of Victoria’s Secret, I suggest you buy Rusell James’ book: V2. This book features fantastic photos of models like Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Brooklyn Decker. I think you won’t regret it, so go buy it

Pongo is a father

How would you react if you find out you are the father of 15 puppies? Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know; but, here we have the way Pongo (the cool dog in 101 Dalmatians) reacted to that moment. Kind of drunk and kind of happy, that’s how Milt Kahl decided to animate him. He was a true master of animation.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that I updated the gallery with a bunch of wonderful photos of this beautiful Israeli model. That wasn’t enough. I know you needed more. So here we are again, with an even bigger update. This time there are 100 new images of Bar Refaeli for you to look. They’re not exactly new, as they’re mostly from 2010, but who cares, right?

If you have some time, start with the Agua Bendita photos, because Bar Refaeli looks great in a bikini; another proof of that is the Sports Illustrated 2010 photoshoot.

Maybe you prefer to look at her in fancy and pretty lingerie; we have a solution: the photos of Bar Refaeli in lingerie, because they are awesome. That can’t be enough, so we also have some photos of her for Passionata lingerie, and Bonita de Mas. Last, but not least, see Bar Refaeli in Elle Russia, and a small gallery of miscellaneous photos.

I hope you like them. Maybe next time I’ll update the gallery with some newer photos of Bar Refaeli.

After the break, see Bar Refaeli in Jamaica for Sports Illustrated, back in 2007.

Another day, another gallery update. Today’s Scarlett Johansson’s turn.

fbr148fbr146

I just uploaded 97 images of this gorgeous actress, which brings the Scarlett Johansson photo gallery to a total of 168 photos. That’ll keep you distracted from work for a while. We should thank Mango more than anyone else, because they’ve used Scarlett Johansson for a bunch of ads, really cool ads (or hot, depending how you want to define them).

There are photos of Scarlett for Elle Magazine, Allure Magazine, GQ, Magazine Digital, Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, InStyle Magazine, Vogue, V magazine, among others, so you better go visit the gallery and look and each and evey one of the photos. You’ll love them all.

Not enough Scarlett? Do us a favor and buy the Lost in Translation DVD and watch it three times (I love that movie).

After the break, a 27 seconds video of Scarlett Johansson for Dolce & Gabbana (you have to watch it).

MadC’s 700 wall

April 1, 2011 — Leave a comment

MadC was born in 1980, and has been an active graffiti artist for about 14 years. She’s one of the most popular female writers worldwide, and I think is well deserved, because her art is amazing. She is known for massive and detailed concept walls.

She created a huge piece last year. It’s a huge huge wall involving her characters and styles. That’s what the video shows, and it’s pretty impressive.

She’s fantastic, isn’t she? Here’s another video of her work. (via UrbanArtCore)
