Archives For October 2012

A 2D survival horror game mockup by Pyroxene.

It’s one of those things that I find pretty cool, but I wouldn’t like to actually experience. What would you do if one day you go out, and you’re the only one left on your city. You walk around, and all streets are empty. There’s nothing out there. You’re alone. What would you do?

Yesterday once more

When you walk in the rain, memories will come by. A surreal painting by freelance concept artist Haiwei Hou (aka houvv). Want to see more? click here.

The amount of talent that is out there is impressive, isn’t it?

They are blue

Two photos that got my attention, by a photographer from Ukraine: Oleg Oprisco. They seem ghostly. The tones and the expressions (or lack of any) are fantastic.

See more photos by Oleg Oprisco on 500px and Google+.

Bonus: Upside Down.

It’s time for more cool and beautiful photography. These are only three photos by Polish portrait and fashion photographer, Sonia Szóstak. You can see more of her fantastic work at her portfolio site, and follow her on Tumblr.

It’s not just about holding a camera and taking photos. You can really see when someone has talent, and Sonia Szóstak does have it. Tons of it. It was hard for me to pick only three photos from her portfolio.

Birds of a feather

Birds of a Feather, a drawing by Sash-kash. Another day, another good opportunity to share cool art with you. I really like this. I think it’d look cool as a T-shirt (at least the left side, of course).

The artist also created a template for you to use these cool owl-feathers as bookmarks. Isn’t that neat?

Check out more of her art on deviantart, follow her on Twitter and Tumblr.

Sea of Clouds

This. A cool photo of some mountains somewhere in Italy, by Jenni Wu. All I can say is: I want to be there. It looks so beautiful and peaceful.

Fantastic photo by Antony Spencer.

It must be an incredible experience to be in a such a fantastic place at sunrise, in the Highlands of Iceland. That’s definitively one of the places I want to visit at least once in my lifetime. I hope I get to do it.

And then, I’d love to be in the right place at the right time to look up and see the Northern Lights. I just can’t imagine how awesome that’d be.

What do I have for you today? As usual, I have some cool photography to share. These are three portraits of three pretty girls, photographed by Marteline Nystad. She’s a 22 year old photographer from Norway, who is actually very talented. I highly suggest you visit her blog.

Bonus: you will love a gypsy heart.

A self portrait of a lovely girl, Jennifer Galea. You now have to go and check out more of her photos at flickr. And you might want to visite her site. And because one photo is never enough, I thought I’d share another self portrait of this talented young photographer with beautiful eyes.

Bonus: a portrait by Amanda Lynn, and a photo of Katie by Mike Monaghan.

A quiet afternoon

Photos like this make me feel so small. So many people are down there, doing who knows what, going places, drinking, smiling, living. And then I look at the photo while listening to Live’s Run to The Water, and  it makes me somehow nostalgic, because “all we have is now”, and it makes me feel like there’s no time to waste. I need to go out and do something, but I don’t know where to go or what to go.

This is Tess. I saw her photo at Stockholm Streetstyle and it immediately caught my attention. I mean, just look at it. It’s sort of crazy. And say what you want, but I do like it. I like that fashionably wacky and colorful style of hers. Of course, not everybody can pull it off (it’s like Ted Mosby’s red boots). I guess that sort of clothing is not too strange for people in Stockholm, but over here, I don’t think I’d ever see a girl dress like that. Conclussion: I got to go to Stockholm.

Beautiful light

A cool and simple photo of a butterfly surrounded by beautiful light. I had to share it with you, because it’s a very pretty photo.
