Youtube videos, cool videos, fashion videos…you probably already get it…this section is about videos.
I really like this sort of data visualization animations. This is a great video created by Michael Rigley. It looks cool, but its content are a bit scary. Learn a bit more about what they all know about you…
Information technology has become a ubiquitous presence. By visualizing the processes that underlie our interactions with this technology we can trace what happens to the information we feed into the network.
It’s about trust, it’s about passion. It’s not really just about making money. I like the quote below, by Simon Sinek.
If you hire people just because they can do a job, they’ll work for your money. But if you hire people who believe what you believe, they’ll work for you with blood and sweat and tears.
I think he’s totally right. And I have to say, he also knows how to inspire. You should watch the video I added after the break, it’s a great talk he gave at the 99% Conference.
Gremlins was awesome, original, funny, scary. I wish Hollywood makes Gremlins 3 (I’ve read about it in some sites, but it looks like it’s nothing but rumors), though to tell you the truth, I don’t think Gremlins 2 was nearly as good as the original movie.
I remember that when I was a kid, all I wanted was a Mogwai as cute as Gizmo, even if it could turn into an ugly mess. But I loved that cute monster.
I also used to think that the girl in that movie was the most beautiful girl in the whole world. I was young an innocent, and it wasn’t until years later that I found out that same girl, Phoebe Cates, had done a couple of movies (Paradise and Fast Times at Ridgemont High) where she showed all of her features. She’s 43 now, but she still looks great.
from Fast Times at Ridgemont High
I was looking for the famous pool scene from Fast Times, but I had no luck. Well, aslmost no luck. I did find this video, which is great anyway.
I was never a big fan of RPGs, because they usually require a lot of time and work. It’s like you have to work on them, instead of just playing and enjoying. This one, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of The White Witch, might be an exception. The premise and story don’t look that interesting, but the fact that the animation is done by the amazing Studio Ghibli is more than enough to get me interested in it. I think I’ll definitely buy this game for the PS3 when it comes out, but it looks like I still have to wait for a year for that to happen.
I want to play this game. The music is haunting, and it looks simply beautiful. I don’t know anything about the game, but I want to play it. I need some free time, as I haven’t used my PS3 for nothing but Netflix lately.
It has to be good, as it’s’ officially broken PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store sales records, becoming the fastest-selling game ever releast in the SCEA region of the PS Network.
Nick Knight, Director of SHOWstudio, happened to direct this little fashion film featuring the gorgeous Karlie Kloss dancing around, and wearing some cool dresses (according to the video description, i t showcases exceptional garments from the one-off collections created for Topshop by some of the greatest of Great British fashion). I’ll be honest, I didn’t like the concept of the video. Karlie, however, looks espectacular (by the way, have I told you how amazed I am at Karlie Kloss’ legs? wow).
Enough words, I assume by now you already watched the video, and I assume you thought it was pretty cool, too. You can go now.
I’ve always liked Calvin Klein’s commercials like this one. There’s always something cool about them. Maybe it’s because they are in black and white or maybe it’s because of all the pretty people in them.
Totally unrelated, I think Crystal Reed is a very cute girl (she’s the pretty girl in Teen Wolf, which has become my new guilty pleasure now that Ghost Whisperer is gone. I just love to hate it).
Miranda Kerr appeared in Elle magazine in June 2010, photographed by Mariano Vivanco. This is the behind the scenes of said photoshoot. I’ve already seen it 10 times. She’s so beautiful and cute.
I should upload the photos to the gallery, some day I will, but meanwhile, you can see a lot of other photos of Miranda Kerr at the FB Revolution gallery.
After the break, a video of Miranda Kerr answering questions about motherhood, weight loss and Victoria’s Secret
You will go to sleep. You will wake up. It will be as if those hours never existed
This is the story of Lucy, played by the gorgeous Emily Browning. Sleeping Beauty is a story of a student that takes quite an unusual job: she gets drugged, she goes to sleep. During that time, old men will seek experiences that require her absolute submission. Obviously, she has to know what happens when she’s asleep, and I’m guessing that’s what the movie is all about.
The premise doesn’t sound so interesting, but the trailer shows a cold and creepy movie, so I think I’d love to watch it. One of this year’s Cannes Film Festival’s Selections, this movie written and directed by Julia Leigh looks like one of those movies I have to watch.
All The Cats Join In is a Disney short from 1946. It’s classic Disney at its best. It features the work of one of my favorite animators, Milt Kahl, and Fred Moore, whose style greatly influenced the Disney look until this day. Freddy Moore was specially known for his drawings of girls.
Check out a pencil test video of Fred Moore’s animation. Also, if you want to know more about this short animation, check out this post at Mayerson on animation, where he identifies the animators in charge of each scene. There’s even more info at The blackwing diaries (and don’t forget to read the comments in those posts, there’s a lot of interesting info there, too).
MadC was born in 1980, and has been an active graffiti artist for about 14 years. She’s one of the most popular female writers worldwide, and I think is well deserved, because her art is amazing. She is known for massive and detailed concept walls.
She created a huge piece last year. It’s a huge huge wall involving her characters and styles. That’s what the video shows, and it’s pretty impressive.
I like advertising done this way. Gatorade partnered with artist Kevin Peterson to create art featuring the Gatorade logo under the theme of “Go All Day”. The video shows the illustration process from start to finish, which makes for a sweet viewing experience, ending with a pretty cool piece of art.
This is one of a series of artist collaborations (check out another one with Jeff Proctor, and Jason Burns).
