I’ve always liked Bjork’s music, though it’s not something I can listen to everyday. It’s sometimes too psychodelic for my taste (even more with the weird but cool videos that she has). But I’ve learned to love her music.

Earth Intruders (the video posted above) is the first single from her sixth full-length studio album, Volta. Though the song is catchy and cool, I still think none of her hits can be compared to the great Human Behavior (the video of that song was directed by Michel Gondry, the same guy that directed the excelent Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). Amazing, it’s been 14 years since that song was released. By the way, did you know Bjork is already 41 years old? That means she’s what? half as old as Madonna?

And life is good and the girls are gorgeous
Suddenly the air smells much greener now
And I’m wondering ’round
With a half pack of cigarettes
Searching for the change that I’ve lost somehow…

I kinda like this song, how about you?

Sorry for the lack of posts. Work is keeping me busy. Anyway, what about some music? Of course, the music is not what’s interesting in the video, but Alizée, she’s a hottie, and a hottier when she dances.

A wonderful video by Lasse Gjertsen. Also, check out part two. The cello player is Giovanni Sollima

Sollima’s music is influenced by minimalism, with his compositions often featuring modal melodies and repetitive structures. Because his works are characterized by a more diverse and eclectic approach to material than the early American minimalist composers, the American critic Kyle Gann has termed Sollima a postminimalist composer.

I just don’t know what to think about the song or the video. It’s either total crap, or total genius, but I haven’t decided yet.

One guitar, six hands

Though this kids make quite a lot of mistakes while playing, the video is still pretty cool. Nice idea, three guys playing the same guitar. It’s pretty cool.
