Cool sketch found at the site of german illustrator Natalie Ratkovski.
It’s good to post some artsy stuff from time to time.

It’s creepy, it’s sad, it’s deep. I liked this video, and hope you like it too.
I love the Cookie Monster ![]()
Riot police stand their ground as protesters wave yellow flags, chant and shake their fists. Low stringed music provides a sense of impending menace. An officer stands in the middle with a megaphone, warning protesters to move back and preparing the police to charge. All of a sudden, out of the riot comes a white pillow. The threatening music gives way to the joyful sounds of the French song, “Boum” sung by Charles Trenet. The pillow harmlessly hits the shields of two policemen sparking off a massive peaceful feather-filled pillow fight. Residents from the buildings join in. Pilots in ultralight planes above drop feather pillow bombs. The tagline: “In An Absolut World”.

I already wrote a post about this talented artist, but it wasn’t enough, so here you have one of his art pieces once again. Check out Neil Duerden’s portfolio site to see more of his awesome work. He mixes photography and illustration to make great looking…illustrated photography (is that how you’d call this?).

Gremlins was awesome, original, funny, scary. I wish Hollywood makes Gremlins 3 (I’ve read about it in some sites, but it looks like it’s nothing but rumors), though to tell you the truth, I don’t think Gremlins 2 was nearly as good as the original movie.
I remember that when I was a kid, all I wanted was a Mogwai as cute as Gizmo, even if it could turn into an ugly mess. But I loved that cute monster.
I also used to think that the girl in that movie was the most beautiful girl in the whole world. I was young an innocent, and it wasn’t until years later that I found out that same girl, Phoebe Cates, had done a couple of movies (Paradise and Fast Times at Ridgemont High) where she showed all of her features. She’s 43 now, but she still looks great.

I was looking for the famous pool scene from Fast Times, but I had no luck. Well, aslmost no luck. I did find this video, which is great anyway.
Great little video. It’d be pretty cool to have a cellphone that can transform itself into a killing robot.

Visit Eric Sin’s theleftovers. It’s his portfolio site, filled with awesome abstract illustrations. This is the kind of inspiring stuff that makes me wonder why I am so lazy, blogging, instead of trying to create something wonderful. Of course, that’s the difference between me and talented people. They are very creative. Anyway, enjoy!
