I’m not a photographer at all, but I do love photography. I recently bought a nice camer (a Canon Digital Rebel Xsi) but I have to say that I haven’t found the time to get into that hobby.

I have another hobby though: drawing, so I guess that’s the reason I find photography so interesting, specifically fashion photography. The beauty of women, the forms, the textures and colors and the lighting. All of that seems very attractive to me. I also think that fashion photography has to be one of the coolest jobs on Earth.

For all that, I envy the work of talented photographers, like the two featured below.

beauty and fashion

This awesome photo was taken by Christopher Kilkus. He’s quite a talented photographer that specializes in fashion, advertising and editorial photography. His portfolio is absolutely amazing, so be sure to check out his site.

beautiful model

This beautiful photo was taken by another awesome photographer: Harry Vorsteher. You should really find some time and check out his portfolio site, to be impressed with his work in the field of beauty and fashion photography.

Bonus: Marcus Ohlsson photography

A photograph is a mirror to society at a specific moment in time.

Those are the worlds of Jeff Hui, photographer. He’s really good at what he does, which is creative fashion photography and portraits. If you don’t believe me, then go to his portfolio site, look around, and be convinced.

The other site I wanted to share with you is a gorgeous photoblog called h e art be at berlin …is about everything what makes our hearts beat in Berlin…and Tel Aviv and Miami and L.A…It’s a wonderful site made by two german artists and photographers: Werner Armann and Diane Vincent.

Two sites, three artists, I think you’re going to like them.

Some cool portraits

It’s been a while, isn’t it? So what do we have for today? Well, I had a bunch of bookmarked images I found at deviantart, so I decided to share them with you in this single post. Here we go with a bunch of links to some cool portraits and fashion photos. Enjoy!

a beautiful portrait
Sweet dream like, by Lindseys

This german photographer’s had an extensive career in the world of fashion and commercial photography. His photos have a very clean style, and her models look almost like dolls. I’d guess that he has a very good idea of what’s glamour and how to express that concept in each and every one of his photos.

Rejected online

spoof ad

Rejected online collects rejected, banned, spoof and most complained about ads and commercials. That’s it, a simple concept, but a great site. I’m sure you’ll love it.

beauty and fashion

These beautiful portraits were taken by a talented photographer: Kalle Gustafsson. Studied film in Sidney, Australia, and photography in Paris. Spent 2 years as an assistant in Sweden. Kalle has a strong presence and a keen eye for form. Works with both lifestyle and fashion photography.

You can find more of his cool photos at his site. Fashion, beauty, editorial and travel photography, that’s you’ll find there.

Oral Fixation

Oral Fixation

This nice and a bit funny portrait is part of the Oral series by betogtz. I couldn’t find the name of this mexican photographer at his website, though it seems his name is Beto (Alberto). Anyway, as you’ll see, his photos are really cool, original and a bit surreal. Go and visit his site.

He describes his work as indivual pieces that get together forming series, having the human body as the medium and visual reference for actions that have no initial goal. I think that was pretty clear, wasn’t it?

Bonus: links to other photographers’ sites:

Will Smith is…

He’s not a legend. Talking about that, I never got to see “I am Legend“. It looked like a very cool movie, though what turned me off was the fact that everybody said the ending was awful. And, talking about movies I haven’t seen, is Step Up 2 The Streets any good?

Going back to the topic, Will Smith: it looks like Hancock is going to be a cool movie.

“There are Heroes, There are Superheroes and then there’s…”
