Torn by David Armand

Remeber Natalie Imbruglia? she’s such a cutie, what happened to her? after ‘torn’ she just disappeared.

imbruglia2imbruglia2 Hosted on Zooomr

Anyway, seems she’s still around. Here you can see her performing her famous song ‘Torn’. Quite a funny version, thanks to David Armand

From ‘the hollow men’ pilot, I guess this was the original version of this performance: click to see video

Hey ya, acoustic

In my opinion, this acoustic version is way better than the original.

Goodbye to you

Her voice is simply amazing!

Another one: Bringing me down, part 2

Monte Montgomery is a critically-acclaimed American musician and songwriter, specializing in the acoustic guitar. He has won the “Best Acoustic Guitar Player” award at the Austin Music Awards seven years in a row, the only artist to have done so. On January 29th, 1999 he appeared following Bruce Hornsby on Austin City Limits, episode #2411 (originally aired on April 17th, 1999).

In 2004, Alvarez Guitars unveiled the MMY1 Monte Montgomery Signature Guitar. Due to his intense playing style, Montgomery has broken the neck of his DY62C model guitar four times. The MMY1 has a reinforced neck to prevent such breakage.

One word: wow! :)

Bjork, bachelorette

This song is haunting, amazing. I love it, it’s a surreal feeling.

If you noticed, the video was directed by Michel Gondry, the same guy that directed Bjork’s Human Behavior, and more recently: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The science of sleep (which I haven’t yet seen)

Gene Krupa on TV in 1966

Pretty cool, amazingly cool. And here’s another fun jazzy video :)

Many consider Krupa to be the most influential drummer of the 20th century, particularly with regard to the development of the drum kit.

Krupa’s main influence began in the 1930s with his collaboration with the Slingerland drum company, but he had already made history in 1927 as the first kit drummer ever to record using a bass drum pedal. His drum method was published in 1938 and immediately became the standard text.

I disscovered this great podcast a few days ago, and must say it’s amazing. Music for strange moments is a podcast by Radio Three Sixty, and it’s only about music. Not even ‘about’, it is just music. 30 minutes of music. Their choices are really good, and might give you a chance to get to know new artists.

Superman

We all know he was the real superman

So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.
