Portishead - Third

I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve you, and I don’t know what I’ll do without you

Portishead used to be great. I used to love their songs. I used to love the voice of that singer: Beth Gibbons. It was a long time ago. It took them 10 years to come back, and I’m glad they did, because I love their new album. It’s simply put: magnificent. Portishead’s music still has the same hypnotic feeling I remember from their old songs. Beth Gibbons’ voice is absolutely beautiful.

It took me a while to finally get this album (it’s been there for a while), and I regret I didn’t bought it before. If you still don’t have it, you’re crazy.

Anyway, go read more reviews about this album: at the bbc, at culture bully, at pitchfork. Visit their official site, and their myspace page.

And for the good old times, one great video, Only you

Only you

I’m very excited about the new Portishead album that is supposed to be released in April. That band was really great, and I hope they still are. Actually, I think they still are.

This is the video for Machine Gun, the first single of their new album called Third. I love it, it’s pretty dark and crazy.
