Trailer for ‘Vicky Christina Barcelona’ - starring Javier Bardem, Patricia Clarkson, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, and Rebecca Hall.

Vicky and Cristina, these two young Americans spend a summer in Spain and meet a flamboyant artist and his beautiful but insane ex-wife. Vicky is straight-laced and about to be married. Cristina is a sexually adventurous free spirit. When they all become amorously entangled, both comedic and harrowing results ensue.

I’m not really a fan of Woody Allen, and I dislike Penelope Cruz quite a bit. BUT, I have to say this movie looks like it’s going to be good. And I can’t forget the fact that there’s at least one kissing scene between Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz, which I can’t deny, sounds awesome.

I can’t decide yet if this video is too stupid or too clever. For now, I’ll say that most of it is pretty stupid, but entertaining, and the very last jump is definitely cool. And it really opened my eyes…there’s really more than one way to put on my jeans.

Talking about jeans and things I can’t explain, this ad for some jeans is really weird.

Portishead - Third

I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve you, and I don’t know what I’ll do without you

Portishead used to be great. I used to love their songs. I used to love the voice of that singer: Beth Gibbons. It was a long time ago. It took them 10 years to come back, and I’m glad they did, because I love their new album. It’s simply put: magnificent. Portishead’s music still has the same hypnotic feeling I remember from their old songs. Beth Gibbons’ voice is absolutely beautiful.

It took me a while to finally get this album (it’s been there for a while), and I regret I didn’t bought it before. If you still don’t have it, you’re crazy.

Anyway, go read more reviews about this album: at the bbc, at culture bully, at pitchfork. Visit their official site, and their myspace page.

And for the good old times, one great video, Only you

Only you

Dress for the moment

A cool, funny and sexy commercial for NewYorker’s lingerie. You have to admit, that girl can really give you a heartattack. Wow!

Also, choose your musice wisely. Enjoy!

The Gremlins are back!

Those little nasty creatures. I loved them, so I’m glad to see them back again, even if it’s just for an ad for something, somewhere, somehow.

And that reminds me, I better backup my files before one of those little gremlins come by and destroy my pc.

Tool - Sober

Tool is the greatest band in the world. That’s all I need to say. And sober is one of their amazing songs (and one of my favorites). Oh, and the video is freaky, and so cool. Enjoy!

I love Penguins

They are cute and cool, and they can dance (at least that’s what I learned from Happy Feet). But nothin compares to the new kind of penguin that’s recently been discovered.

It kind of makes sense. I know now this animated short was based on true facts. :)

And if you’re curious about how they did it, check out this behind the scenes video.

Repeat after me:

Minnie the Moocher” is a jazz song first recorded in 1930 by Cab Calloway and His Orchestra, selling over 1 million copies. “Minnie the Moocher” is most famous for its nonsensical ad libbed (”scat”) lyrics (for example, “Hi De Hi De Hi De Hi”). In performances, Calloway would have the audience participate by repeating each scat phrase in a form of call and response, eventually Calloway’s phrases would become so long and complex that the audience would laugh at their own failed attempts to repeat them.

Minnie the Moocher” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
